About Us

Our Vision

Glorify God

The ultimate purpose of all of creation is to bring attention and glory to God (Isaiah 43, Psalm 33, Psalm 115, Romans 1 & 8, Ephesians 1, Revelation 5).  There is nothing in all of creation more magnificent than God. Campus Outreach (CO) exists that He may receive the praise, honor, and love that is rightly due to Him. It is our desire that His greatness be proclaimed to all people, in all places.

By Building Laborers

As He observed a large crowd of people gathered before Him, Jesus Christ once said, “The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). It is clear that sin is still an issue today with all of the needs, problems, and challenges in the world. In other words, the harvest is still plentiful. Therefore, it is our desire to build life-on-life relationships with students in order that they would come to know Christ, mature as believers, and share their faith with others through evangelism and discipleship. We give our students the tools to do that and to develop into mature adults as they prepare to leave the college campus.

On the Campus

Campus Outreach believes that the university campus is one of the most strategic fields of ministry available in the world.  This is because student population density is high, making it easier to meet and build genuine friendships with many people, the availability of the typical college student is higher than it will be at most other stages in their lives, college students tend to have a greater openness to change than many age groups, and many, and arguably most, of the future leaders in the world are today’s college students.

For the Lost World

Campus Outreach ministries on the college campus are a means to a greater end, not simply the evangelization of the campus, but making disciples throughout each segment of society all around the world - schools, hospitals, churches, grocery stores, governments, etc. We prepare our students to leave the college campus and live as mature believers in the real world. Our hope is that our students will graduate, mature in their faith with Christ, and continue to share that faith with their neighbors, coworkers, families, etc.

Our Core Values

Commitment to the Local Church

We are happy to be a missional arm of both Grace Presbyterian church (PCA) in Peoria, IL and Cristo Redentor Iglesia Presbiteriana in Guadalajara, and to partner with them for their success and God’s glory. Both churches provide our ministry with accountability, leadership, and resources. It is the desire of Campus Outreach to Mobilize graduates from our campus ministries into the local church in order to help it grow & thrive. (Matt. 16:18)

Gospel Saturation

This helps us know God and ourselves. We will consistently look at the cross and let it breed security, identity, humility, a privilege mentality, and a passion for Christ within us. This also means we will bring others to know christ and Christian community back to the gospel. (1 Cor 15:1-5)

Authority of Scripture

The Bible is the ultimate authority for our lives. The Bible will be the first place that we go in order to make sense of different sides of an argument. The Bible will be the filter that we use to evaluate the quality of the teaching and training we receive and give. (2 Tim 3:16-17)

Life on Life Discipleship

We will seek to give spiritual leadership from a standpoint of relational depth and knowledge of the person, not generalized principles that may or may not hit the issue that God is pressing upon this person. We will seek to disciple and evangelize people with our lives more so than with a program. (1 Thess. 2:7-8)

Commitment to the Team

We are committed to impact our churches, campuses, ministry targets, and international opportunities as teams, not as individuals. We are committed to forming high performing missional teams to accomplish all of our ministry objectives and goals. We believe that God will use our differences to make our campus movements and other ministry endeavors much stronger rather than make us factious. (Ecc. 4:9-10)
